"To open their eyes, in order to turn them from darkness to light, and from the power of Satan to God, that they may receive forgiveness of sins and an inheritance among those who are sanctified by faith in Me." - Acts 26:18

Come For All Things are Ready
This sermon is a close look at the parable of the Wedding Feast found in Luke and prompts all who hear it to examine themselves to see if they have decided to attend the feast, or if they are going to make excuses as to why they cannot come. During Christ's time it became clear that God had reached out to the people of Israel with an opportunity to be saved but they had made excuses, they had rejected God. The same is becoming true of our time here in America. There is an abandonment of Truth and apostasy has taken hold of the people because of a lack of love for God. People have turned away from God's offer of salvation just as the people of Israel had done during the time of Christ. The Jewish Church of the first century was very religious and they had made “covenants” with God but had not kept them. God calls His Church to be holy, obey His Word, love Him, and make disciples. Sadly so many people who claim to be Christians today are not doing any of these things. Many in the Church today are making excuses just as the people of Israel were during the time of Christ; they refuse to obey His commands. But what is not realized is that if one does not honor God's covenant God will not be with them. Further in the parable of the Wedding Feast is the story of one who is not wearing a wedding garment and sought to escape the eyes of the master but was found out and thrown into outer darkness. This is true of all those who refuse the righteousness of Christ through faith and make excuses as to why they cannot follow and obey Christ. The only hope for anyone is to be born again by the Holy Spirit and live in obedience to God. All things are, who will take part in the feast?
