A Living Sacrifice

Only when one is poor in spirit and dies to themselves can they be made new by His Spirit and receive the kingdom of God within. A Christian is one who comes to God as a living sacrifice and God transforms them. Christ calls all to come and follow Him, denying themselves. He calls all to set their minds on things above, not on things on the earth. God imparts within a personal relationship with Himself. The person who lacks this relationship puts religion on as a disguise. Selfish ambition and conceit keep one from having the mind of Christ. Self-love kills the mind of Christ and allows the carnal man to steal ground within and hold Christ out. We see in Christ the sacrifice of self, even to the point of the death of the cross! You cannot gain victory over the flesh through anything other than becoming a child of God, by being born of God. If anyone desires to come after Christ one must deny themselves, take up their cross and follow Christ.
