Perfect Love

You shall be perfect as your Father in Heaven is perfect. This is what God called Abraham to do. He called him to be perfect, to be blameless. Not only sincere but complete, upright, and holy. The same call goes forth to all who desire to follow Christ. God’s Covenant is offered to all who desire a new heart, to establish perfect love within. How will this take place? How will one’s heart be changed? Perfection is freedom from all sin because God dwells within. Obedience out of love. Self-centered, sensuous thoughts keep us in bondage and God calls us to love the Father above everything else. We must seek to do the will of God. We must look to Christ to be transformed by His grace. We can either have glory or gloom. Does your life illuminate Jesus or illustrate you?
