The Call of God

We see from the scriptures that Saul was tall, wealthy, and strong, but he did not soften his hard heart or humble himself before God. Because he refused to humble himself before God he was never used as he could have been, and eventually falls away from God. All those who hear the call of God face the same struggle. People must not only obey the call of God but must go on by faith pursuing sanctification and going on to maturity in Christ. The Church must realize, hear, and obey the call of God and no longer put their trust in other things.  No matter how many works someone does for God it amounts to nothing in the end, what God is concerned with is obedience and that His people would be doers of the word. Christians are not called to simply read and think about the Word, but to live by the Word.
